Live Life to the Fullest!

7 Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do.
8 Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil.
9 Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun— all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.
10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.
- Ecclesiastes 9:7-10

Whenever I feel burdened by all my struggles, I get encouraged by this wisdom. Suddenly, life becomes so simple. It's as if God is saying that He never really wanted us to climb that wobbly corporate ladder or to take that 25/7 job. It's like a reminder that we are here to just have fun in life because there really is not much fun when you're dead.

Just a brief warning though:

13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,

including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.
- Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

5 You have made my days a mere handbreadth;
the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Each man's life is but a breath.
- Psalm 39:5

A cousin died today. She was my age. I danced ballet with her when we were younger. She got married eventually. Had 3 kids. The third kid was born prematurely. She passed away giving birth.

I believe that she lived her life to the fullest. Married the love of her life. And had 3 glorious kids!

Maybe it's not really how long we stay, maybe it's how great we make our brief stay.
